ACOP awards points for the completion of surveys as well as screeners. With only 1,000 points in your account (worth $10 US, or ~£6) you may redeem your points for cash. You may leave your points in your account indefinitely – you can cash out at the bare minimum level, or wait until you have a sizeable sum if you’d prefer to receive larger payments.
Payments Via PayPal
You can choose to redeem your points for a PayPal payment to your account with only 1,000 points. Payments are typically made within 1-2 business days. Simply login to your account, and choose the “cash out” option to redeem your points.
If you’re prefer to be paid via cheque, you can request your payment be mailed to you. Again, with 1,000 points in your account you can receive your payment via post. Your earnings will be converted automatically in GBR, even though each point is worth $0.05 USD. If you choose this option, verify your mailing address is correct by logging into your account and selecting “update contact information”.
Option to Donate Points to Charity
If you’d prefer to make a charitable donation with your survey earnings, you can easily opt to do so. When you hit the “Cash Out” button in your account, you will see a list of charities you can choose to donate to. These include: American Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, Sustainable Conservation, Family Literacy Foundation, Wildlife Conservation Society among others.
Earn Points for Screeners and Surveys
Screeners (or very short surveys that ask fewer than 20 questions) award anywhere between 10-50 points. Screeners will often lead to longer surveys. Long surveys always award an incentive which could be 100-5000 points depending on if it’s an online survey or research project. One point equals one cent US, so you can earn anywhere from $1.00 US (~.65p) to $50.00 (~33 GBP) depending on the length of the study.
Follow up Surveys
Several times a year you may receive short surveys about your household’s usage of certain products and services. By answering these surveys, you help ACOP decide if you qualify for future surveys based on your interests and purchasing habits.
Product Testing Opportunities
Occasionally ACOP offers product testing opportunities. They arise infrequently but award handsomely when they do! Look out for them.

American Consumer Opinion, or ACOP, is the online survey panel of Decision Analyst Inc. Over 6 million people are members across 150 different countries. Decision Analyst has been in business since 1978 and ACOP was one of the very first online survey panels, being founded in 1997. They are members of numerous prestigious market research organizations.
It’s easy to become a member of ACOP. Simply complete the short registration form, check your e-mail for a confirmation message and click on the link confirming your registration and you’re finished! From that point on, check your e-mail account for survey invitations from them. The survey invitation will state the topic of the survey, the approximate length of time it will take you to complete it, as well as how much money you will earn for finishing the survey. It is always your choice whether or not you are interested in completing the survey – it is never mandatory or a requirement for anything.
