We were proud to learn that Toluna UK raised $10,000 for the Japanese Red Cross and thought we would share the good news with you, our readers.
As you all know, the 9.0 earthquake in Japan that occurred on March 11, 2011 killed well over 10,000 people and caused massive devastation across Japan. The nuclear radiation issues that were caused by the earthquake and tsunamis continue to plague Japan and we sincerely hope that a solution to the problem will be found soon.
Toluna UK created an option on their website to allow members to donate their points to the Japanese Red Cross, and as a result, $5000 worth of points was donated. Toluna UK then matched this with another $5000, bringing the donation value to $10,000.
