Many online survey takers are only interested in taking surveys for money. They’re not interested in gift cards, chances to win prizes or even the opportunity to make important charitable donations in exchange for voicing their opinions. While this is ok (despite the irony that cash is often used to purchase the same products that could be bought with a gift card), sometimes survey takers are unclear as to why there are things like points systems in place that panellists can use to earn their cash, instead of simply offering cash itself.
Also confusing is why some surveys pay more than others. What criteria is used in determining whether one survey should pay more than another?
